Felt Products

Felt is a textile material that is produced by matting, condensing, and pressing fibers together. Felt can be made of natural fibers such as wool, animal fur, synthetic fibers, etc. Felt has special properties that allow it to be used for a wide variety of purposes. Felt is used in a wide range of industries and manufacturing processes.

The felt we use is a mass of matted raw lamb’s wool. This felt is imported from New Zealand. The raw felt wool is first carded and then dyed into different colors of our desire in different forms for final product. We use Swiss dye. These products are made by shaping dyed raw wool with soapy water applying hand pressure. After continuous hardworking, the felt will be formed into patches and can be sewn together or made directly into bags, hats, shoes, puppets, and so on. Patterns can be made on felt by rubbing colored wool into the base sheet with soap and hot water. The shaped products are dried under the sun.

Attractive, eye-catchy and joyful designs can be produced in felt as the worker pay great care to the details and are highly skilled. No chemicals are used during these processes, so as to avoid skin irritations and allergies. These products are eco-friendly, warm and versatile.

Taking care of felt
Felt is simple to clean and care for. Wiping with a wet cloth will remove most stains. To clean them thoroughly, hand wash them in Luke warm water with a plain soap and leave to dry in a dry and cool location. Make sure not to use washing machines or dryer. Felt becomes stronger with wear. Steam or iron the felt to remove wrinkles.
