Ruby Handicrafts, previously known as Nepal Mithila Women Handicraft is a manufacturing and wholesale store supplying goods worldwide. We are a leading team from Nepal operating globally. We have been working in the field for the last 30 years, and now, we have a team of hard working, creative, skilled, and qualified manpower.
Our products are handmade and are manufactured carefully by following the rules of fair trade as we believe that fair trade can bring drastic transformation in our lives. Our vision is to produce the best and qualified handicraft that can bring comfort and joy to our customers. We work with felt, wool, hemp, Mithila art, incense and Tibetan flags. We mostly focus on promoting the handmade products of Nepal so as to encourage and develop the skills and lifestyle of the people all around the country. We employ as many people as we can, from different societies and economic background.
Women from rural areas are generally overlooked, though their hands are full of creativity and ideas. These women have always been played by poverty, illiteracy and unemployment. So, we always welcome women in our team. We first started our business by promoting the traditional Mithila art, around 35 years ago. We started from the bottom with around 20 women. Most of these women become the sole bread earners of their family. Staying at home was not an option for them as money was a dire need of the time. Their crafts didn’t just get them some economic relief, but more importantly it equipped them with huge share of confidence and self-worth. We promote women’s handicrafts which help us to be economically strong and help them to invest in their health and life.
